Our client, a leading player in the global fruit sector, is seeking a Commercial Lead to build strong relationships with growers, oversee commercial performance, and drive strategic growth across multiple regions.

Commercial Lead
Paarl / Wellington area
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (or related field).
  • Experience in Table Grapes, Blueberries, and Cherries will be beneficial.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans & English.
  • Strong project management and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage compliance, contracts, and CRM systems.
  • Must be willing to travel locally and overseas from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with growers and licensees.
  • Lead commercial activities, audits, and planting validations.
  • Manage product lifecycles and royalty revenue streams.
  • Provide post-sale customer service and support for new and existing varieties.
  • Coordinate Open Days, grower visits, and compliance with agreements.
  • Oversee reporting and data systems.
  • Collaborate across departments (technical, quality, R&D).

Are you a passionate agricultural professional with deep experience in table grape cultivation? Our client, a leading player in the global fruit sector, is looking for a Technical Lead to support licensed growers and lead the implementation of best practices in viticulture across Australia.

Technical Lead: Table Grapes

AUSTRALIA - Mildura (Sunraysia) Area

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, with major in Viticulture preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in table grape cultivation
  • Strong understanding of the global fruit industry
  • Strong computer literacy in MS Office applications and statistical analysis programs.
  • Fluent English (Spanish desirable but not essential) 
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with international teams and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and relocate.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide after-sales technical support to licensed growers in the Sunraysia region.
  • Monitor vine growth stages, irrigation, pruning, canopy & crop management.
  • Advise growers during all critical phenological stages.
  • Develop, update, and implement varietal production protocols, including:
    • Plant growth regulators
    • Canopy management
    • E crop adjustments
    • Harvest maturity parameters
    • Quality and technical specifications for growers/packhouses
  • Promote and support new grape varieties based on performance.
  • Conduct continual grower visits and build strong relationships.
  • Generate weekly visit reports via the company’s technical reporting system.
  • Assist with field audits and updates for the grower database and contract schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Commercial, and international teams.
  • Participate in global company events (1–3 per year).
  • Organise and host technical workshops, meetings, and open days.
  • Fully support development of pipeline varieties and new selections in the territory.
